BCSplash Showcase - Harry Lime.
It's BCSplash time again and this week we are featuring one of our most recent submissions for the BCrecreate challenge.
This fantastic, atmospheric image was created by inkface who has been with the community for almost ten years. Inkface (Carol) has a lovely colourful journal that tells the story of her daily life especially her love of dogs and gardening.
We are delighted to see that she joined in the latest challenge and clearly had a great time setting up the shot. We bet the local dog walkers were desperate to ask what was going on.
We'll let Carol explain:
"In the 1949 British film ‘The Third Man’, starring Orson Welles, and set in Vienna. Or (my version) Mr I under the M1 bridge at Kirby Muxloe this morning. We had so much fun doing this.
The last time we were here a few years ago this area was neglected and quiet. Since then though the road’s been blocked off and it’s become a favourite dog walking area. So instead of having no one around it was quite busy and Mr I was wearing my long black fleece lined big coat with his leather cowboy hat. Meanwhile the locals were in shorts and t-shirts (it was warm and sunny this morning). Ever polite they said hello to us as though it was quite normal to see someone being photographed whilst running under the bridge dressed like Harry Lime. I was laughing so much I’m surprised the photos were ok."
We now have some great entries for the challenge, but we'd love to see more! You have until 31st May 2021 to join in the fun. If you'd like to know more about the challenge and get involved click here.
We still have so many #BCSplash images ready to share over the coming weeks.
We'll let you know when we're running out so you can start tagging your images again. Thank you so much for your support. We love to see you taking part and really enjoy looking through your images.
Thank you again for helping us showcase Blipfoto.
