Flower Friday - Fritillaria meleagris...

...also called for guinea hen flower, chess flower, leper lily, frog-cup, chequered lily, snake’s head fritillary - is very rare in Sweden, the white type  even more rare. However, just outside Uppsala there is large field, wellknown and available for everybody who appreciates to see this exciting flower in it's natural state.
And of course, Fritillaria meleagris is the official lanscape flower of Uppland (where Uppsala is located in)!
