Lilac Time

The lilacs are in full bloom now and perfuming the air with their heady scent.  I can't get enough of them.  I've created a "painting" of them sitting on the fireplace shelf.  Now that the daffodils are gone, they take pride of place.  Soon, they will be replaced with the purple and white iris.  Hopefully, the lawn will be mowed today.  It is a bit overdue.  We're in a bit of a heat wave right now with temperatures reaching nearly 90F.  A bit too soon for that.  It will kill off the blackflies though although they have not been that bad this year.
