Keeping watch

Home, and I had an appointment to get my haircut so as it was fairly bright I decided to walk through the park and along the canal.   No sign of anything except pigeons on the way there, but I was rewarded by a sighting of the swan family on the way back.   There are six cygnets and Mum & Dad were keeping a close eye on them.  After the news from Larchlea that fireworks had been thrown into the canal last weekend, it was a great relief to see them all well and obviously thriving.

We had a wet end to the holiday with rain and high winds, so our last day was spent with a good book and not a camera :( . It was a good week though and lovely to have a proper catch-up with D.
