little ellies....

Went with some friends to the elephant orphanage today -there are 5 little ellies at present ranging from just over 1 year to 3 years old!  Harrowing to hear of one of them whose Mother had been shot by poachers three times, then her head cut off before the tusks were stolen, and the poor baby witnessed it all!  Very traumatic for the baby elephant and its lovely to see them all being so well cared for.  

Then we had lunch and went for a walk where we spotted a few Zebra, wildebeest, warthog, bushbuck and lots of guinea fowl!!  A really lovely way to spend the day!
