View from the North Stand

My friend Bigg Z and his company kindly sponsored todays match and the match ball by way of a leaving present for me, albeit somewhat late due to the last lockdown.  This meant we went into the hospitality zone for a three course meal before the game and got to sit in the Directors box to watch it.  I much prefer to stand and Wild Bill from the Midlands and I popped over to the Slab at half-time to say hello to our regular buddies (and make them slightly envious!)

I got to choose the official man of the match which was a close call between Joel Nouble who was the stand out player on the pitch and Harrison Panayotou who scored our two goals.  I thought H just shaded it.  The only sour note was conceding in the 96th minute to lose 3-2, however it was a jolly entertaining game and I can't wait for August and the new season to come around.  

In addition to choosing the man of the match, I was given a signed football in recognition of the match ball sponsorship and a signed shirt in recognition of the match sponsorship.  Happy days!
