Two years ago, on the eve of my birthday, I came home from a holiday to find my flat had been transformed by some of the best pals one could ever hope for (www.blipfoto.com/entry/1022125 and www.blipfoto.com/entry/1020728).

The chocolate was consumed rapidly, and I stopped finding glitter in every nook and cranny after a few months. One balloon evaded discovery for ages, however, until I had a break-through one evening, while staring idly at the straw hat on top of my wardrobe.

And here it is, 2 years later.
