Caribou Cabin

I came across this drive thru only coffee shop today. Caribou Coffee has  been a Minnesota mainstay since December of 1992. I wasn't even married or had kids then! 

The majority of the coffee shop locations are a full store, with ample seating to visit, have a Northwoods cabin feeling, with a warm fireplace to sit next to in winter. I used to knit weekly with friends near home, and have great memories. The coffee is GREAT! 

They first opened this drive through only concept in a few locations here in December 2019. It is perfect for the pandemic because no one can be inside but the baristas. 

I had just narrowly missed running over a mother duck and her ducklings crossing the busy highway I was on, and pulled off on this street to finish crying, and thankfully they were safely across before the next car in my lane sped by. I love animals so much and would have been devastated if I'd killed them. It was very jarring. I ordered an iced sparling green tea, and the barista reminded me so much of Matthew Gray Gubler from "Criminal Minds." He's handsome and very weird!
