Split Day

Swimming in the morning, hillwalking at sunset.

On my way up the hill I met a kid (about 10 yr old) with his mum as they were coming down. I asked him if he made it to the top, he replied that he did and I told him he'd done super well.
As I was leaving he said "are you going to the top all on your own"?

Didn't hit me on the way up but Christ it did on the way down.
