Saturday State N.P. Quarters
From 1999-2008, the U.S. Mint produced statehood quarters, and they were wildly popular. So, they decided to mint another series, this time with national parks (or national historic sites) in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and 5 U.S. territories. They started producing them in 2009, and are just finishing up in 2021.
In this photo are all 56 of them. I would like to say that I combed the countryside looking for them, but, actually...Lisa bought them for me (to be from Merrick for being his teacher) from the Littleton Coin Company in Littleton, New Hampshire. (Merrick liked them so well, that now he has his own set.)
Looking over the set, I would like to say that I've been to all 56 sites, but, alas...I have not. But, I have been to 23 of them, and I've put them in alphabetical order: (Hope you know your 2 letter abbreviations!)
