Hedgehog Habitat

Today was the first chance I have had in over a year to meet up with my mate Big H and go out 'on the lash' - well if you can call going to two pubs and drinking three pints in nearly four hours going out on the lash!
It felt so good to be out and having a few drinks with friends. I met up with Big H and his mate Gary at Ye Olde Thirsty Pig (great name for a pub!) in Maidstone and we had a pint there before moving onto The Fishermans Arms (otherwise known as "The Fish"), literally less than a hundred yards away, to meet up with a couple of their friends to sink another couple of pints. The time absolutely flew by and we all had a great time trading stories, having a laugh and dodging the rain showers (we had to sit outside at each establishment as the indoor spaces had already been booked up). Thoroughly enjoyable.
Today's image was a bit of an emergency blip after I got home. These two small stone hedgehogs reside under the ancient apple tree in our back garden. There is a little sadness attached to this image as we have not had any real hedgehogs in our garden for well over a decade. They used to be constant visitors in the summer when you would regularly hear them snuffling around in the undergrowth. When we were kids we made the classic mistake of trying to feed them bread and milk but eventually moved onto recommended foodstuffs including cat or dog food.
