Preening silvereye

A reasonably productive day, although no gardening done as I had (vagely) thought I should do.  There's just something about a warm fire!  I did manage a brief stint out in the garden where a friendly fantail and I had a close-encounter and chat and a few silvereyes were enjoying getting some sunshine on their tiny wee bodies.

I did manage to do a practice run with some bubble photography - we're doing a camera club workshop tomorrow and I don't like not being organised ahead of time.  It was good to check all the gear/batteries/settings/pitfalls/solutions etc and whilst my images today didn't amount to much, the exercise served its purpose.
