Dad

He's a daft bugger. It was my mum's 74th birthday today. She was a bit under the weather so instead of going out for the day, dad invited my brood and my sister's brood over for the afternoon.

For the first time in 78 years he cooked a meal! For a man who can build anything, repair anything and invent things he's useless in the kitchen. Until today. And boy did he milk it. The build up to the meal has been hilarious, and he served a spag bol (admittedly a very good one) complete with silly homemade hat and lots of daft jokes. The kids loved it all of course. They adore their crazy grandpa.

Ava made a lovely birthday cake. A great afternoon all in all.
