Brown Hares

I cycled from Kirkwall down to St Mary's, along past Graemeshall and to St Nicholas' Kirk, on to near Roseness where I left the bike and walked round the ness. A couple of great skua on territories and several eiders' nests with eggs. Back to the bike and back past the kirk where a hare appeared around from behind a wall. I stopped and hoped to get a photo but it turned back and went into a tilled field where it's pal was. A few shots and off again along back roads to Toab, then St Andrews and down to Mill Sand and on to Kirkwall.
