The Male Chaffinch

The buds on the quince tree started to break today which attracted the local colony of Chaffinches. They feasted for quite a while and as a bonus the Sun came out. This allowed me a more manageable shutter speed of 1/250 sec and an aperture of f8 whilst keeping ISO at 640,on my Nikon D800 + Sigma 150-500 lens in DX mode @ 500mm= 750mm
