Cube

The Rubik's Revenge: 4x4x4 instead of the usual 3x3x3 cubes. This one has been sitting at home for 30-odd years, as my mum was never able to solve it; but last night my sister finally figured out how to do it! Today I decided to give it a go and (with hints from the web) managed to solve it too. I must have looked extremely nerdy attempting it on the bus back from uni.

Lots of snow last night and this morning - it still hasn't melted in town, which it usually does pretty quickly.

I had my first experience of the university student association welfare council this evening - one of the proposed motions was for the union to affiliate with Abortion Rights, who aim to oppose restrictions in rights to abortion, and make abortion available on request. Part of this includes opposing lowering the abortion time limit, for example. I don't think it's right for the union to be supporting this, although I can't really justify why without going into why I believe abortion is wrong in general. The motion was passed, however; 214-147 votes I think, although it is actually fairly close.
