Lapis lazuli

Today's Tiny Tuesday is kindly hosted by freespiral - thank you! The theme this week is mineral. 

It seems that lapis lazuli is a combination of minerals so I hope it fits the bill, I was not keen on searching around on the beach today so my jewellery box came to the rescue. This piece was a strong standby in my time as a teacher as it is solid and tactile!
