Sparrow (Spadger)

They can certainly smell out the nutritious food, and you could live on one of our home-made loaves with the amount of butter and oil that goes in, along with ‘very strong wholemeal flour’ etc.  They don’t touch the shop bought stuff; mind you its been over eighteen months since we had any of that.
 
I was going to do a macro of sea salt granules for TinyTuesday, but the day has run on and I had the shot(s) of the spadgers. Tiny anyway, so I will tag it.
 
Now getting the shots was quite a feat.  They were extremely nervous, so I had set the camera up on the edge of the table sitting on a folded serviette, with the remote beside it.  They got brave while I was at the other end of the table with Mrs W complaining to Amazon that they had lost our ‘returns’ - see below.  We were in conversation when the spadges got brave, so I dropped to the floor and crawled to the other end of the table to reach the remote and take some shots without being seen.  Caused some amusement.
 
 
Rant………..start
 
Amazon fiasco.  Back in April we received from Amazon some bio filter inserts for the aquarium filter system, which were unfortunately the wrong size.  As Amazon were having a big sulk over Brexit, instead of sending returns to Glasgow (the norm) they were insisting that these particular returns were sent to Amazonska in Slovakia, and supplied all the labels and forms necessary.  After seven weeks they have been rejected by Amazonska and are on the way back to the sender (us)!!!  We are expecting a full refund for the product AND our postage (not cheap, lucky it was ‘tracked’).
 
I expect that Amazon will review their returns policy again, otherwise they will be well out of pocket
