Rainforest butterfly

We took a trip to the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park today. The rainforest dome was full of beautiful butterflies, and this huge one settled down on a little girl's shoulder and looked quite at home there! I'm not sure what kind it was but the tops of its wings were a lovely vivid blue.
