Finally ducklings

Today at the duckpond I finally saw ducklings! Only two, but it made me very happy. They are in the extra photo because they aren't very clear. The parents were keeping them away from scary people.

The woods are greening and I saw some ferns that are unfurling. Most of the undergrowth is brambles this year so it was nice to see the ferns. I didn't manage to get a good photo though.

It was wonderful to be out in the sunshine even though it hasn't lasted all day.
