In and out of the Lock
I met up with an ex teaching colleague this afternoon and we had a really good catch up! So much has happened in both of our lives since we last saw each other so it became a long lunch date. We are resolved to try to meet up every couple of months or so.
On the way home I stopped by the Stewpony bridge near Kinver . It was quite busy there with a number of canal boats waiting to come through the locks. I thought they made for a colourful scene which is much needed after the grey days we have been experiencing.
Rob is doing quite well. He is still very tired and seems to have moved into that post op phase where things are bit depressing and you need a sleep to recover a bit of energy. He was very sad this afternoon as he had a phone call from his brother while I was out telling him that one of their joint friends had shared the news that his 40 year old daughter was being moved into a hospice to help her through her days with cancer which has spread very rapidly. So sad.
Hope you are all safe. I had a hug in a car park this afternoon. Felt very naughty...
