Another pretty bird but no tits today

Thanks for all the comments yesterday - which took me by surprise. I have come to the conclusion that a picture of a pretty bird will get you lots of hits.
This is near Heathrow and the bird is a Goldfinch. I went and stood under the approach near the threshold and was going to post something ala Treegonk but realised it'd only be a pale imitation.
What I did notice with a certain thrill (I'm easily thrilled) was the occasional arrival on the ground of wing-tip vortices. The sound was like someone energetically twirling a whip around their head and lasted for several seconds.
