Pollinators All

No rain today. Hooray! A bit warmer too.

The ox-eye daisies are, very belatedly, coming into flower. I photographed my first crab spider of the season on one. A common malachite beetle was sitting in a buttercup hunting for small insects and supping nectar and pollen. The Rhopalus subrufus beetle is smothered with pollen.

I'm glad the bug season is hotting up at last. I saw another female longhorn moth, can't wait for the males to start lekking. Only one butterfly briefly showed itself.
