It's Betty!

Is anyone watching Springwatch? They're in Northern Ireland for this series, Gillian Burke is at Castle Espie!! Yesterday evening they were live at Castle Espie and the star of the show was Betty the Black-headed Gull!! This is Betty - and if you look carefully, you'll see her chicks! Well, you'll see one of them, she has two. They will be live at Castle Espie on Tuesday and Friday evenings for the 3 weeks of the series.
Today was the bird watch walk, there's usually a bird watch walk on the last Wednesday of every month, this was the first walk of 2021, the last one was in November, then we had lockdown!! It was a lovely sunny morning and it was warm - at last!!!
