Faded By Time
A strong wind blew in off the lake making a sizeable swell sloshing the reeds around angrily. It was grey overhead, a storm was predicted, but didn't look imminent.
A few shots of blurry reeds left me unimpressed. Looking for another way, I reached for an ND filter for longer shutters. The question was - how long was long enough? There also had to be a variety of tones, so which patch of reeds?
The longer the shutter, the more faded the reeds became. Time erases all things, eventually.
Much is made of ICM (Intentional Camera Movement), but I'd like to coin a new phrase - Intentional Subject Movement. Possibly not a new idea.
