BACHELOR BUTTONS

I think this is my favorite of the heirloom seedlings my son grew for me.
Many of the BACHELOR BUTTON flowers are light blue, but these 
dark blue ones are my favorite.  The old fashioned annuals are tall & willowy, & should probably be at the back of the bed; but I planted them in front so they would be the first flowers I see.  They make me so happy.

I had 12 ladies over to my house to play Canasta, it was really fun.
I baked a caramel apple cake & made a layered fruit salad in a trifle dish.
Both turned out great & were a big hit.  I am a bit out of practice preparing food for a group, but now I know it can be done.   There are leftovers!

My days are getting busier & busier....
