Icy Start

We had a frost to start with, then the sun came out for a few minutes, then it clouded over, but not what I would call a cloud inversion.  It's been a cold day +7C.  The first extra is the track by the Clutha River.  I walked along here this morning.

The other two extras are my photos of the Blood Red Moon (1) and the moon rising (2).  I am not very good at taking moon photos.  The ones you will see in the newspaper are much better.  I woke at 11.30, put on lots of warm clothes and headed outside.  The moon was pretty well overhead, with a nice clear sky The moon wasn't as red as I thought it would be.  On talking to other locals today, apparently there were lots of people out howling at the moon.  I didn't hear them thank goodness.  I think it would have been quite scary.
