Cake!

Work held an afternoon farewell for me today. My business manager made this brilliant cake.

It has all of the things that are important in my life: a motorhome, a dog and my camera. Theres even a bird in a tree to be photographed. So clever. Thank you Cindy.

It was a lovely afternoon and the number of staff and ex staff who turned up stunned me. Of course I cried. I'm so predictable!

Earlier in the day, guessing that I might not have time later, I photographed my office door. I've added it as an extra. On my first Valentine's Day here, in 2017, a student put roses on each of our office doors in the Senior Leadership corridor. Mine is the only one still there. Each time it's blue tak has dried out I've replaced it to hold it there. And I'm taking it with me when I leave tomorrow. I'll always remember Akeena for that gesture.
