Kirkconnel Flow Nature Reserve

In the morning Ana and I walked to the allotment. Ana did some weeding while I potted up seedlings in the greenhouse.
Late morning Morven popped round for a cuppa and to check how I’m doing. I’m lucky to have such thoughtful friends.
I picked up my partner from the 1.15pm train and we went to Kirkconnel Flow to look for crossbills. We heard and saw a cuckoo, and had some fleeting glances of a family of crossbills flying through the woods.
Later on we planted out the sweet corn
