Two screen town
I may have explained before that West Seattle sits on a five mile long peninsula. Technically we are part of Seattle, but yet we manage to maintain a small town feel. Connected to the mainland by three bridges, and by land at the base on the peninsula, many residents prefer to stay ON the peninsula whenever possible.
Sure, we have big name grocery stores, several McDonalds, and many Starbucks, but only ONE theater - a historic two screen theater built in 1942.
Welcome to the historic Admiral Theater.
Of course, if you prefer the 16 screen multi plex, then Seattle proper, is just a couple miles away. We kind of like the small town feel over here.
