Recce adventure

Joined Corinthian and R on a recce of a possible future bus pass walk spotting Guinea Fowl in the fields en route. Turned into quite an adventure.  Viaduct, hills and farmland were followed by walking down a path (currently a stream) to be met by a stile in the middle of a “lake”.  The water only looked shallow, but actually came way above ankle level, so some shimmying along the fence and untangling from barbed wire was required!  Lots of laughter.  Passing lovely cottages and wonderful long range views we eventually reached the road and walked back to the village.  Boots now washed and drying out ready for the next foray!  Extras of the views, stile in a lake, viaduct and reservoir. Enjoyed it - great fun - and it stayed dry!   Bear Grylls has nothing on us seniors, haha!
