From today's dog walk.
We finally have some good weather so it was all bare arms and wishing that we had taken a drink along.
We took a different route today. Now that Nell is taking shorter walks we think factoring in some variety will help her with the boredom.
This Yucca always amuses me, it's so out of place on the chemin. We had a nice encounter with a lamb who mistook us for someone else. It had obviously been bottle-raised.The dog rose was right there at nose level, waiting to be shot. The blossom is False Acacia, or Robinia. The trees are plentiful here and normally carry an abundance of the most sweetly perfumed blossom. This year the blossom is in short supply so it was good to finally spot a few flowers. The French treat them as we do the Elderflower, and fry them as Beignets (or fritters). I would very much like to try some.
