May has arrived - on the 27th

Beautiful walk with a friend in east Bristol this morning, in a little wild space called Magpies Bottom. The air was full of the scent of hawthorn blossom, and the fluffy seeds were drifting in the air.
Warm and sunny and bright and lovely at last:-) We sat by this pond, which had some nice reflections, and duckweed on part of the surface.  Quite a lot of midges - we could hear swifts screaming above. 
Going to see Nomadland tonight - in a cinema!
