Red letter day....

blue skies, heat, sun and wildlife that seems to have been waiting for today! Really enjoyed the wee pull up behind the crag, where there was a small herd of Red Deer Harts (males). Had encountered a single Hind lower down and wondered if she had a calf.
Watched a pair of Redstarts, lovely. Heard a cuckoo and saw the Merlin, who seemed to be taking prey to his mate on the crag.
Could see right over to the snowy tops of Creag Meagaidh and the high tops above the Corryairack.
At home enjoyed another walk to the pond and found emerging Large Red Damselflies, which for some reason I cannot post as a second extra.
