The Hobbit... :: BCrecreate

The Upsall Town Forge was built in 1859 which was long before Tolkien got the idea of round doors. I have visited Hobbiton and been through one of the doors. I offer this for the BCrecreate challenge, less recreated, more just reminded me of the book and films.

The observant of you will realise the door is framed by a horseshoe which ties in with my theme yesterday. I told the story of Upsall the other day.

In extras I have added St Cuthbert's Church, Little Sessay which was built 10 years before the forge. It is just south of Thirsk. Although lovely in colour I opted for mono.
