Dry Stone Walling Volunteer
There are miles of dry stone walls at Lyme Park in Cheshire and a dedicated team of volunteers to look after them. This man was quite happy to have his photograph taken when we walked by on a walk to the hall.
The walls have to be high to keep any feral deer out, and the park deer in. Many of the walls were first constructed in the seventeenth century.
