Crossing B

All over Salisbury Plain there are tank tracks - off road tracks where military vehicles are allowed to drive. These tracks are all allocated a letter and then along the route, they are allocated numbers as well. This is crossing B, half a mile along the track where it crosses another road it is B1.
Crossing B is very close to where a very dear friend lives, so when we get here, we know we are nearly at her house. Over the years we have had many walks along crossing B. This friend’s husband, who was in the army, died this year, so today, on my way to see her, I felt I wanted to stop and take a photo and remember all the happy times we spent here over the years.
