Ha Long Bay

Ha Long Bay - An experience not to be missed. Although a little overcast the views were amazing this place just felt magical. We stayed on a junk boat called the Poseidon with a mixed bag of people. Our favourites were lovely women Anne and Gill from Northampton and Nottingham - both in their 60's but got stuck in to all the activities including caving, kayaking, mountain climbs and late night Karaoke! We visited the Cave of "Suprise" where our guide didn't actually tell us much about the cave or how it was formed just pointed out what animals he could see in the shapes of the rocks. One of the rocks looked like a turtle so of course for good luck and prosperity the Vietnamese people rub its head and put money on top of it and why not!??
