Cake

Daughter No.1 bakes recreationally and is proving something of a natural at it. Anyone can be a good cook with practice but I think it takes something special to be a good baker - it's a skill I've always admired but never mastered.

She's always experimenting with recipes culled from old books of traditional baking she buys off e-Bay. This was a chocolate marsala cake with ganache and tasted fantastic. Half of this bit has already been reserved for tomorrow's lunch box...

And I'm celebrating one month's continuous blipping. It's been challenging at times but I'm really enjoying it. Roll on the next eleven!
