The road to Derborence, a high hamlet which is open only 6 months a year, is now open so we went in search of some rare orchids but we were probably too early. We saw lots of snow gentians higher up so I popped one in extra as I just love these deep blue gems of the mountains

David says thanks for all the good wishes for yesterday. I shall catch up this weekend, feeling rather sleepy now, it was a full day out today.
