Lismore Lighthouse

The much anticipated return to Mull. We’ve come back to the Treshnish peninsula to spend another week in those lovely cottages. This time we are nearer the farmhouse, in the same cottage we stayed in back in October 2018. We had plans in the environs of Glasgow this morning, but we kicked those into touch because we thought it would mean doing something in a level 3 area. In fact, when we looked more closely later on, we discovered that the venue was actually in East Dunbartonshire. Anyway… If we’d have stopped, we might have had trouble with timings as there was a lot of traffic on the roads today, and quite a few road works and other annoyances.

In the end, we had plenty of time in Oban, so we could get the last bits of shopping and fill up with fuel before the ferry. We were basically first on, first off, so no traffic impeding us once on Mull. We made good time over the hill to Dervaig and thence to Treshnish. We’ve had eggs and smoked salmon on toast for dinner, plus a couple of beers, one drunk sitting outside. Although it’s intrinsically very nice weather, there is still a strong breeze blowing from the west, so after a while we retreated indoors again.

I am looking forward to a restful week, but hopefully a week with plenty of walks.

Apart from sleeping very deeply last night (after a couple of paracetamol), I’ve had no after effects from Vax #2.
