My brother, sister in law, daughter and I were at the beach again today, before they have to depart tomorrow morning for Ohio and it was another beautiful day.  Clear blue skies, lovely breeze and lots of boating activity to watch go by.  The tarpon season is open now and apparently there are lots of them in the area around these barrier islands that are part of Sarasota.  We assume most of these guys were fishing for tarpon.  Our grandson was out with some friends a few days ago and caught one and it was just over 100 pounds!!!!  It's all catch and release at this point because their numbers were diminishing a few years ago.
