Crazy Caving!

Today we learnt about the newly found Son Doong cave it's the largest found cave in the world, it has a whole forest growing inside it. Apparently you could fit the Empire State Building inside it and twist it around! Because it is so new, only the British Caving association and the local vietnamese guy who found it along with some scientists are allowed in. Our guide took us to the "Paradise caves" nearby which were not as big but still as intriguing, here is a panoramic shot of Sol having a gander. After lunch we were taken kayaking down the river and entered the mouth of the "Dark Caves" where we swam in the pitch black with headlamps on and then waded through mud-clay that went higher than our knees! Many of these Vietnamese caves were used as hospitals or hideouts during the war...
