Art and Nature at the Himalayan Gardens

A real summers day - hurrah!
They have really expanded these gardens near Ripon since I was there a few years ago - what a fantastic job!
Glorious rhododendrons - and other flora - beautiful sculptures and great birds. I seem to find the little grebe particularly difficult to photograph, but I liked this shot of it nesting behind the reeds. One with a chick in the montage-the best of a disappointing crop.
I loved the work of Rebecca Newham - the lotus which sits in the centre of a lake, in extras with a bonus wagtail and the sycamore leaf - and of Subodh Kerkar, land based artist and activist- 3 small pictures in the montage - (not the ‘not a Knot’!) He quotes Kahlil Gibran
