Fond Farewell

Today saw  the last game of the football season and only the second that fans have been able to attend. We lost 1-0 to Stockport to a deflected shot in  a game that,  on the balance of play, we probably deserved to draw.

However the match itself was overshadowed  by the tributes to our club captain Lee Collins who tragically passed away at the end of March. His partner and three young daughters were at the game and there were floral tributes and applause in his memory before kick off. It was heartbreaking and hard to imagine how unwell and sad and desperate he must have been to leave three such beautiful little girls behind. His family ( in the thumbnail) joined the squad on the pitch at full time to share in a final tribute.

We were also saying Farewell to three of our senior players who have decided to retire from playing.

Tess & I managed our pre-breakfast Saturday run.
