Mommy and Ava

My son and his family left this afternoon, after a busy week filled with baby sounds, kisses, messes and commotion.  I asked my DIL to do me a favor and sit near the window on this gloomy day, so I could get a shot of her and Ava.  I think I like this one best in mono, but when I have time I'll play around with it in color as well.
Thank you for your lovely comments on my previous blip of Ava.  Since I didn't have the opportunity to scope out the wildlife while they were here, she became my subject.  She was much easier to capture than those birds in flight, or her brother for that matter.
