Get Lucky

Sound of the Summer!

No so lucky for Arlo, this was his first +2 hours more like 10 hour trip in the car for his holidays. We tried to give him some rest breaks on the way, but kept not wanting to spend a penny, and when he did go we gave him a big cheer. But he didn't understand why we kept putting him back in the car.

Apart from those delays and the road works on the A9 (are those still going on), I was glad to turn west at Dalwhinnie and the landscape changes. We eventually arrived at our cottage on Skye, south east of Portree and Arlo spent a good while running around the garden. Weather's looking good for tomorrw and the rest the week, not planning on dashing about but am sure we'll keep Arlo busy.

The castle is of course Eilean Donan, just before we headed over the sea (bridge) to Skye.
