Mollymawks,

It’s been a bird kind of a day.....we had booked to go on a fishing boat to hopefully catch blue cod which is the most delicious fish ever.
So, we woke to some rain and windy conditions. Not deterred we were there before time, had trouble getting on “Captain Pugwash” boat, the swell was extreme to put it mildly.  Two of our ladies opted not to go, and another wishes she hadn’t as it became very very rough/rolling. So bad, that our captain decided to go into a slightly more sheltered bay.....no fish, but tons of mollymawks which are smaller than the Albatross but equally impressive.  I’ve added extras, please have a look, just a few different ones. Such fun, but the captain of “Pugwash” decided it was so bad we headed home, which was fun for me but not for my friend Clare.

Over recent weeks/months I’ve been rappling on about how dry we are ... at home our area is experiencing a one hundred year flood. Our town of Timaru and districts have been declared a state of emergency. Terrible flooding everywhere.

Rainie
