Travelling North and Worrying About The South

We travelled up to Palmerston North today to take in the World Wildlife Photographic exhibition on display in that city. It's about 154 km but the idea was to have a day off for The Bossess and it was a fun day. The exhibit was fabulous and it was the first time that The Boss had been there. We all had a great time. The Canterbury area of the South island and some other areas down there are NOT having a great time and have been  receiving up to a half a metre of rain which has not yet abated, and on the way back to Wellington there were times when it was almost impossible to see out the windscreen of the Egolf for torrential rain. Luckily it did calm down by the time we got home where it is just raining.
