Blickling Hall

“Do you like Blickling?”  “I don’t know, I’ve never Blickled.”  Never fails to get a laugh.  This morning we took W’s sister to Blickling Hall, a rather magnificent National Trust house near to us.  There is an extensive estate with long walks that we have done before but today we did a tour of the house and looked around the formal gardens.  On the way we called in at the station so she could see one of the steam trains; an extra added of 76084 arriving at Holt.

We want to show W’s sister as much of the area as we can while she is here so this afternoon we drove to East Runton and walked along the beach to Cromer.  Colder at the beach but still a nice walk, and good to see so many people enjoying a break at the seaside.  W’s sister professes to walk a great deal every day so we weren't too concerned about how much walking we had done but I rather think we might have met her limit today!
